Simple, but very nice... I likes! :) And for those wondering why there is no music... on the SNES, unless you ripped/hand-relocated a game tune (or patched the intro specifically to play a tune from the game the intro was attached to, by just calling the player already there!), there were no public musicplayers of any kind. The Doctor/ATX made a kind of MOD player (I think it still needed some hand-tweaking for each tune? Better ask TWK or Pan about this, since at the time my SNES skills were limited to playing Axelay and Mario Kart), and also Censor of course (the SIDplayer for their famous C64 musicdemo) - but neither were released or even leaked around the scene. So, no music :(

Yes, this is Gordon/Supplex (and Sensics, and...). He used the same "Gordon production" credit gfx on some of his amiga stuff :)

spiv: Yeah, it was later, and if you check the credits you'll see the music routine was by Alfatech/Censor (that I mentioned above as the SIDplayer snes author :P ).
I think the reason was, that the main cpu/gfx chip programming manuals were quite well spread, but the music-chip (SPC?) manual was only in the hands of very few people by comparison... hence, very few ppl did anything with snes sound :P

One of the most stylish SNES intros for sure. Just noticed that the font and background effect in this look very similar to the menu used in "Fish & Chips", an Amiga chiptune collection by Sonic. http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=9621

Both came out in 1993, the chipdisk in June and the "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" game in July or September - if that's the first time they used this intro. But I'd say it's more likely that Gordon saw the Amiga chipdisk, I doubt the Sonic 'demo scene' guys messed around with SNES copiers. Either way the color cycling, bouncing text and writer routine aren't there in "Fish & Chips" and make this really nice!

A little bit difficult to read, but nice style and design (by Sonic Finland). With a decent chiptune this SNES intro would have been a very nice prod! Not mentioning if it have had a nice logo ;)
